restaurant 'Gotohira udon' review

Hello,

I am a college student, an office worker, and a person who came to Seoul.

 

Today, I would like to do a review of a Gotohira Udon restaurant near Hongdae.

 

 

The location is as follows, and it seems that it takes about 5 minutes based on Exit 6 of Hongik University Station

and about 10 minutes based on Exit 8.

 

It was my third visit here

 

As the name of the restaurant, udon is mainly sold, and buckwheat soba and pork cutlet are also available.

 

The reason for visiting this place in particular is that there is a menu called "Cold Udon" here,

so I always look for it when I want to eat cold food.

 

 
It's a picture of the exterior of the store. It was taken a little dark when I went there in the evening.

 

I think there were 7 to 8 seats in the store, and the inside is a little narrow.

 

If there are more than 4 people, you may have to sit with two seats attached or wait a while.

 

There is a banner saying "Summer Special Menu" at the entrance, but you can refer to it

because summer menus are also available in winter.

 

 

The main menu is

 

Chikuwa udon (fried fish cake udon) - 9,000 won                                         Seafood Udon - 9,500 won

Kinoko udon (mushroom udon) - 9,000 won                                                Eviten udon (fried king shrimp udon) 9,500 won
Soft Tofu Seafood Udon (Soft Tofu and Seafood) - 11,000 won                  Niku Udon (beef) - 9,500 won
Cold udon/cold soba (beef and fried long fish cake) - 10,000 won             Kizne Udon (yubu udon) - 9,000

 

 

 Fish cake udon / Spicy fish udon - KRW 9,500
Kimchi pork cutlet udon - 10,500 won
Handmade pork cutlet - 9,000 won

 

 

This time, I ordered cold udon and kimchi pork cutlet udon.

 

 

If you sit down, each seat has chopsticks in a container and a water bottle is also provided.

You brought cups and pickled radish yourself.

 

 

It's cold udon.

 

I should have taken it when it first came out, but I forgot to mix it up and took it...!

 

It goes very well with chiku and fried fish (fried fish cake) in cold udon.

 

And the noodles of cold udon are much more good than warm udon, so they feel much more delicious and chewy.

 

If you look inside, there are a lot of minced meat, so it's very delicious with soup.

 

And as much as it's cool, it quenches thirst, and it's not common for restaurants to sell menus

such as cold udon and cold noodles when I think of cold udon near Hongdae, I always come this way.

 

 

 

Next is kimchi pork cutlet udon.

 

On my first visit, cold udon + pork cutlet

 

On my second visit, handmade pork cutlet

 

The 3rd visit was cold udon + kimchi pork cutlet udon

 

This restaurant's pork cutlet is so delicious that we all ordered pork cutlet in common!

 

It was just the right thickness and the batter was really crispy, so I really enjoyed it

 

I think I ate it more deliciously because it was dipped in kimchi udon soup.

 

As you can see, it's a lot, so it's enough for one adult male to eat. The soup is really delicious

 

It would be good to eat kimchi pork cutlet udon when you hang up,

and I highly recommend cold udon when you're thirsty!
